Weekly Stock Market Review

The stock market had a bad couple of days on Wednesday and Thursday but recovered somewhat on Friday. But there is apparent  weakness under the covers in the market sectors’ relative strength charts. Defensive stocks such as Food and Beverages and Household Personal Products have zoomed higher while cyclicals including Transportation and Automobiles lost big. Also, the overall graph of cyclicals versus consumer staples turned down for the first time since December.
